In the last decades "Il Poggiolo" farm have been founding its activity in growing and manufacturing teazles for the textile industry. It is the only farm at the moment in Italy to produce and sell in many countries in the world this very special vegetal product. The owner, Mr Simonetto Vannini, have also been recognized by the Arsia authority as the "guardian grower" of the species, which is considered to be threatened with extinction.
